There was no pleasure for the Blues at Wembley on Saturday, as Chelsea have been beaten 1- in the FA Cup ultimate by Leicester Town – but it was a distinct story at the popular stadium on this weekend in 1981 for a different Blues side.

Sunday (May possibly 16) marks the 40th anniversary of arguably Bishop’s Stortford FC’s greatest achievement: successful the FA Trophy.

In beating Sutton United 1- as a result of a last-minute winner by Terry Sullivan, the Blues turned the very first club ever to earn the two the FA Trophy and the FA Newbie Cup – owning come to be the last ever club to earn the latter cup, beating Ilford four-1 at Wembley in 1974.
