Bishop’s Stortford crafting businesses The Making Place and The Little Arts Workshop produce home packs for the whole family to do during coronavirus crisis

Suzanne Harding has come up with a crafty idea to keep self-isolating people entertained at home and help her new business weather the coronavirus storm.

The Stansted mum only opened The Making Place, which provides craft workshops, classes and drop-in sessions, at the Peek Business Park in Dunmow Road, Bishop’s Stortford, in October.

She has been busy assembling kits for families to work on together while they have to stay at home due to the pandemic, and she is offering both a delivery and collection service.

So far Suzanne has had orders for suncatchers, kaleidoscopes, cross-stitch, light boxes, felt gnomes, paper flower spring wreaths and felt Easter eggs, with the affordable kits costing between £3 and £10. They can be adapted for all ages so they are suitable for both children and adults.
